    Cards Lose 8 Straight!!!

Reyes only gave up two runs through five innings as the Cards lost their eighth straight. Cards have not faired well against AL teams and need to stop this as soon as possible. There is an answer in sight and that's the Royals this weekend!

Now this is getting crazy! I never thought I would see this happen. But the injuries are definitely paying their toll. I still fully expect this team to end up in the playoffs, but teams like the Reds are going to have to take every advantage possible.

Cards ended the losing streak by one game but they lost the first set of games against the royals today causing a 2 way tie in first place between the reds and the cardinals

Cards took the lead back last night defeating the Royals finally to end their series. So they are one game ahead of the Reds now who lost last night to the Tribe.

This is becoming a good battle.

Now it is an entire month later and the Cards continue to slip. They lost another one last night for a current streak of 6. The division is getting tighter by the day, but none of the contenders are really winning right now.

Will the Cards be an absolute to win the pennant?

The pennant? No, there's a team called the Mets. The division? Yes. Even with the Cards struggling the Reds can't gain any ground.

Yeah the Mets do have the pennant on lock and I meant the division for sure.

But with both the Reds and Cards losing right now you have to figure that it is comforting for the Cards that despite their losing streak, they aren't losing any ground.

You mean the Brewers still have a chance? NOT... But the Cards have the Brewers right where they them. In a series this weekend. Maybe LaRusa will feel sorry for his buddy Yost and lets us take 2 of 3..

    I just love to dream!!!!

As I said to CRF when he was touting Walt's superior GM skills...there is no way this team will be winning the World Series.

I can't believe that the Cards didn't get any pitching help before the deadline... Sorry, trust me, I know how frustrating it can be when your team does absolutely nadda to better the ball club. Good Luck tonight Card fans!!! You know that I will be rooting for the Crew though...

If the Reds want to beat the Cards, it has to be with pitching and that's not really something they have at the moment. Even Arroyo is struggling as of late.

    Brewers

I heard something that surprised the hell out of me tonight on Baseball Tonight... The Reds have the 5th best team E.RA since the All-Star Break.

    Good for them!!!!
