    What An Opening Day!

The reigning MVP Pujols went 2-2 with two homers and 4 RBI. Rolen hit a Granny in his first game back from injury. Aaron Miles went 4-5 with 2 doubles and a triple. Every starter scored at least one run and the Cards crushed the Phillies 13-5. Carpneter looked sharp until the fourth inning when he really started hanging his breaking pitches. He gave up four earned runs over five innings pitched and also struck out four.

Also a very classy move by Larussa telling Wainwright to throw a strike on 3-0 to Rollins in the 8th.

Rollins would have been swinging anyway and I doubt LaRussa had to tell him that with a huge lead like that.
