I blame Gary Sheffield. Give him some money, and he starts acting all uppity.

Puhlease, I guess you missed what Gammons said about Red Sux fans on Baseball Tonight last night. Basically they lined up from dugout to dugout during Yankees batting practice and just threw obsenities at the Yankees throughout the entire BP. Nice. I don't want to hear one more pathetic defense of Sox fans from anybody; it's quite obvious one freakin championship in 86 years has gone to their drunken, idiotic heads. Peter said there were even guys with their kids yelling obsenities.

Well, according to you, they did this before, so it has nothing to do with the championships.

It's championship but hey, at least you didn't try and spin this. It's pretty bad when the biggest Boston homer on the planet (Gammons) rips Sox fans the way he did; he was pissed.

Maybe they should cut off alcohol sales after the second inning over there.

I've already attested to stupid red sox fans since I live in New England and have been to many games since 1992...so nothing the fishercat says can change what I know to be true...(and no it's not every fan, but it's a good lot of Saux fans).

To further illustrate my point, when I went to Oakland, it was Saux/A's for 4 games and nothing came even close to happening like the stuff I've seen at Fenway. I know this isn't the case for Raiders games, but that's another story

My bad, I accidentily pluralized it.

I can't spin some of the Sox fans actions, I know a bunch of them are assholes. Passionate assholes, but asshles. If the alcohol didn't make so much money, I'd have no issue with banning alcohol...period.

BTW, Sox fans on the west coast are just as bad as the ones on the east coast from what I hear. But I don't have much pity for the non-Sox fans out of the Fenway realm, since the Sox fans are only filling seats for their team to spend cash.

Well, maybe it's just 86 years of frustration manifesting itself in some really bad behavior.

Good to see that fan has his season ticket revoked.

I think that will send a message to fans nationwide not to confront players or interfere with the players when they have to make a play in the outfield.

Putting Smak aside...I agree with Steak. What an awesome message it sends to revoke his season tickets. I applaud the RedSox organization.

it's not a big deal because they'll easily be able to sell those tickets...it'd be more of a gesture if it were a team that didn't sell out every game anyway
