    Red Sox fans/Sheffield....

    What a disgrace!!

It seems all of these problems always happen at Fenway and Yankee Stadium? Coincidence? I think not.

That looked like an intentional swipe by that guy that hit Sheffield too.

Yeah, it was intentional, stupid drunk Sox fan.

Of course, Sheffield swiping back before throwing the ball...not the smartest thing either.

Idiot, idiot Red Sox fan, I hate when that happens.

I didn't see it completely, from what Remy is saying (and he is usually unbiased) it COULD be that he was telling people not to touch it, but I need a better view before I can argue for it.

Yeah... looked like Sheff was more worried about exacting revenge than winning this game... even though he did double here in the 9th...LOL.

It did look like he was saying something like what you heard he was saying.

he wasnt blocking any of the other guys. he was going for the ball, clearly. sheffield mayyyyy have overreacted a bit, but he could have done a lot more than a mere love tap. he coulda gone ron artest on him!

I kind of wish he did Artest him, then Selig could have played David Stern and Ruben Sierra would be their starting RF funtil they trade for someone new.

Yep bye bye Pena! That would really suck. Anyhow Sheffield really should have kept his mind on the game. But his reaction simply tells me that he reacted like a normal human being. I do not fault him at all. What a story though.

I don't blame him one bit. I don't like the guy, but I give him a lot of credit for not decking the guy right there. As I said, I am not 100% sure that he was maliciuously going to whack Sheffield, but it's a shame that the game will be remembered for that. This is the first rivalry event in a while that I do not like to see.

Yeah, if I was Sheffield I would have exploded. I mean would have pulled a Dennis Rodman and hopped into the stands and beat the shi* out of that gay mofo. Man I was so mad when I saw that. I was like holy crap, haha.

Sheffield did the right thing in the end by not going into the stands. That would have only caused further chaos and possibly a giant Pacer-esque brawl...plus a bunch of people over there had beer.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

You can't blame a fan base for the act of one stupid likely drunk moron. Sheff did the right thing in not escalating it.

Yankees-Redsox is such of a great series and someone has to be stupid.
