    Screw Manny Ramirez

That showboating after his solo homer off of Jensen Lewis last night was garbage. Someone should have showed Manny the scoreboard before he went to bat because his home run didn't tie the game, put his team ahead, or give his team a walkoff win.

The media seems to be fine with it, saying that it's just "Manny being Manny". I think a C.C. Sabathia fastball to the ribcage might knock some damn sense into the guy.

Perfect redemption: Manny striking out tomorrow night to end the game. Indians clinch the AL Pennant and Manny gets to watch us celebrate from the dugout.

    Re: Screw Manny Ramirez

He does that kind of stuff a lot and as someone who played a little baseball in college (I was a pitcher) that kind of stuff really pisses me off. Someone should have drilled him the next time he hit. He did it to the A's in the 2003 playoffs, too. A couple years ago he did it on a Fox Saturday game against the Mariners...only it wasn't a homer and he ended up with a single to the rightfield wall. That same year he did it again against the A's. He hit a ball over Kotsay's head in center and thought it was gone...he ended up with a single. It's not little league. Show some respect and be a professional.

    Manny Being Manny.

Not like you're the first victim of the meaningless Manny handraise. It happened last round too.

It's hard to imagine something I would care less about if my team was up 3-1 with two great pitchers coming up.

Believe me, I am happy we're up 3-1 with one more game in Cleveland. It's just that by now, you'd think Manny would know better. Or at least hell, show some respect to the orginization that brought you up and originally made you into a star.

Then again, the Indians are to fault. They let him come up and be around jerkoffs like Albert Belle who had a profaine influence on Manny.

that wasnt too bad because it was a walk off, and also it was because it was against rodriguez, who makes carlos zambrano look calm after a strikeout.

I meant the second homerun in the series, off of Weaver IIRC

Nobody tops Jose Valverde after a save.

That was pretty obnoxious of him. I agree that him striking out to end the game would be a good way to end it. Like Eric Byrne's weak check swing that grounded the ball to Tulo to end the series.
Yeah Eric, you outplayed the Rockies.

Maybe after the first pitcher to strike him out tomorrow can just stand there and stare at him. Same thing, right?

I kinda figured the guy who wanted to bean Scott Hairston in the head for tossing his bat would've agreed with the thread starter here.

Tossing a bat is way different then what Manny did. If Manny had tossed his bat the way Hairston did, I would agree with the thread starter.

Prolly not, considering this guy has no clue what logic, fairness, or sportsmanship is. He loves the turds cause they're turds, and will kill himself defending them.

    How is it different?

    They're both showboating.

At least Hairston tied the game for his team in the 9th inning when he showboated.

You don't think Matt Cain would have been just as pissed at Manny?

    Re: Screw Manny Ramirez

And, you know, tossing the bat immediately after a big home run is simply over jubilation and not thinking.

When someone stands there and raises his hands after a home run he clearly is looking to rub it in.

As far as Babe Ruth goes, that doesn't compare because he called his shot before he hit the home run.
