A big warm thank you to everyone who wrote off the Yankees

Hey, Steve Phillips, Dave Russell, and all the baseball "experts" from ESPN, Sporting News, Fox Sports, SI, and all the biased fans, I've got something to show you...

    American League Wild Card Standings
    Team W L PCT GB
    Seattle 63 50 .558 -
    NY Yankees 64 51 .557 -
    Detroit 63 52 .548 1.0
    Minnesota 58 56 .509 5.5
    Toronto 58 56 .509 5.5
    Oakland 56 60 .483 8.5

Wait a minute...the Yankees...the team that was "DONE", "dead", had "no shot of making the postseason" a little while ago is actually tied for a playoff position? Once again the biased Yankee-hating-morons are proven WRONG as the "dead" Yankees have come back to put themselves in playoff position. Yes, I know there are plenty of games left and I know the upcoming schedule is tough, but the rotation has been solid, the bullpen is improving with the resurgence of Vizcaino and emergence of Chamberlain, and the offense is absolutely on fire! Does anybody really want to play this team now? To those of you who wrote off the Yanks, enjoy eating your words.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Yankees are still done. You wont make the playoffs. I will still say it. Just like all teams you will go into a losing streak and get back into the HOLE you belong in. Your team got hot, but like every team your time to fall back in reality is close to happening again.

I don't care if the Yankees get in the playoffs, its not like they will win anyway. As long as they don't win the division. Atlanta's 14 straight division titles will live forever.

I love how fans of basically useless teams right now are keeping up this charade.

'96 was the last time I've seen a team with so much youthful chemistry. NO WAY we don't make the playoffs.

You will fall apart. Lets see how things go with no CLemens! 5 games suspended should have been 10. He needed to miss at least two starts. The Suckee's will "Crash and Burn"

Re: A big warm thank you to everyone who wrote off the Yankees

Off topic, but you all prove my point.

Dodgers, Braves, Twins...yeah, you might be as close as we are to the Red Sox...but we're tied for the playoffs and you aren't.

Rogers Clemens...one start...oh no! How will we ever recover? Maybe we should ask the Twins how they have recovered from the loss of Liriano...oh, right, they haven't.

Hate the Yankees, but we will be in the playoffs, and I'll be surprised if we don't make a really serious run at the division.

Define "shutout." He went six innings without allowing a run. Pick out single games this year all you want, it's the body of work that counts. Don't you have Mark Hendrickson as one of your starters?

mntwins fan is predicting the Yankees will fail? In other news, the Sun rose today.

Edwin Jackson pitched six scoreless innings. Ok, I'll admit calling it a "shutout" is mean. How about he "blanked" the Yankees?

And a shot at Mark Hendrickson is about relevant here as a shot at Kei Igawa is.
