    Worst homerun call ever

If I have to hear John Sterling's "An aaaaaaaaaaa-bomb! From Aaaaaaaaaaaa-Rod!" homerun call again, I'm going to cut my ears off with a freaking butter knife.

Why you hating on John Sterling! And I bet you're only saying that because you hate the Yankees. If you are, then that's pathetic.

    DON'T...EVER...MENTION...JOHN...STERLING

Last night he said Matsui caught a fly ball in LF when it was Damon, and then he referred to Jorge Posada as "Proctor." I could go on for 20 minutes about him and Suzyn Waldman. My hatred for him is unspeakable. The worst sporting announcer I have ever heard.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Well, you obviously haven't heard the Mariners broadcast. It's worse, well unless you like sports cliches.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

No, Waldman and Sterling really suck a throbber.

Sterling has all of these Ron Burgundy moments...let's put it this way, I wouldn't put it past him and Red Sox Girl who knows nothing to have this dialouge during a game:

Sterling: Melky Caaabraaaarea at the plate...
Red Sox Harlot: Speaking of plate John, I was eating dinner with Joe Maddon last Thursday and he let slip that he thinks that Carl Crawford is a good player!
Sterling: Wow! Crawford isn't just good, he's fantabulous. I've always thought he deserves his own wing in the Hall of Fame, and if a true baseball man like Maddon agrees, well, we should stop by Cooperstown and run this by them.
Red Sox Hussie: He also said that Johnny Damon is the most integral part of this lineup.
Sterling: Ah yes, integral. He is very integral, the most integral piece, I think it's fair to say, integral. Not to mention his vitality and importance. In fact, ARod and Jeter are having nice years, but Johnny Damon is the only player that matters.
Red Sox Whoremuffin: Not only is he the only player that matters, but I saw at Old Timer's Day, when I was talking to Mickey Rivers, Darryl Strawberry, and Paul O'Neill, our friend from YES, that he's the best and most essential Yankee Outfielder ever. They all said that when he dies, they should Ted Williams him so that he can be unfrozen and their can be a whole team of Johnny Damons.
Sterling: And what an integral team it would be haha...Melky hits one and it is high, it IS FAR...IT ISSSSSSSSSSSSSS.......caught at the wall! Oh, the heaven scraping pop-up appears to have gotten snagged on a cherub, and Melky has flied out. Ohhhhh this was a marvelously hit ball, trapped in the pocket of the glove by Corey Patterson.
Red Sox *****: I've never seen such a tremendous flyball, and I've been watching baseball longer than any man, AND I HOPE YOU ALL KNOW THAT I KNOW EVERYTHING I'M TALKING ABOUT! HAZAHHHH!

    And that's one at-bat.

You think thats bad. Add the KOMO traffic updates in mid at-bat. You want to go out and do the damn broadcast your self. or get Ben Stein in the booth.

I don't see how any one is worse then the Mariners broadcasters. I'm watching the game right now and these guys are terrible! My high school sports announcer is better then this.

The White Sox guys are bad, but the worst in Skip Caray, who obviously got his announcing gig ONLY because of his dad Harry. Mr. Monotone is what I call him....
