So, it's a great day for a Dodgers fan when they watch their hated rivals sweep them in their own home because they might get to watch a guy they all hate hit a few home runs off their team in their own home?Originally Posted by ESPN douche

And I may as well feel obliged to point out that that other team in Southern California didn't have a great day today, either.
But yeah, the Lakers won. So I guess it was a great day to be a basketball fan in Southern California.
edit: Oh yeah, the Angels won, so their fans were happy.

Because Barry Bonds is probably hated by everyone who isn't a Giants fan, I don't think Dodger fans have the burden to hate Barry Bonds as much as Giants fans hate Tommy Lasorda, which reminds me of my favorite Tommy Lasorda quote.
The scene was far different last September 30, when Lasorda was introduced during the final game at Candlestick.
``It was really hilarious,'' Lasorda said. ``I think they had 67,000 people out there, and they booed me, which is nothing new for them to do to me. The main thing was, in my talk to them, I told them, `I've thought a lot about you people. I finally realized that you don't hate me, that you really and truly hate yourselves because you really love me.' ''When Candlestick park closed, there was no other person who could give it a parting shot like Lasorda could. He led the crowd through “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” and changed the words to “Let’s root, root, root for the DODGERS!!!”
I can tell you right now I have never had any ill feelings towards Lasorda.
The one thing I really hate about ESPN is that since I live on the East coast I am subjected to watching every Sunday Night and Wednesday Night baseball game of the weeks with the Yankees or Redsox being involved. So some other teams for a change.
