Athletics shortstop Bobby Crosby left Friday's game during the fifth inning with a strained right triceps muscle. Crosby told the Contra Costa Times that the injury is under his armpit and he possibly could have hurt his "lat" muscle. "I tried to play through it," Crosby said. "Swinging is not too bad, but when I was throwing I felt pain. Even when I was throwing the ball back to the pitcher it hurt bad." Crosby's status won't be known until he's evaluated today.

I'd love to have Reyes, as long as he learns some plate patience. All the speed in the world means shit when your OBP is sub .300 (2005).

    I wouldn't want:
    ryan freel and his DUI's
    jason kendall and his contract
jason giambi and his contract, defense, and..
adam laroche because he should be in AA
cristian guzman, what a sad move by Washington last year
jeff weaver because he's just no good
aj burnett and bj ryan, yeah.. ..no.

Add Dan Johnson to my original list. He's another Adam Piatt: great in the minors but can't handle major league pitching and yes I'm fully aware of what he did last year. Throw in Ken Macha and a box of doughnuts and my team is complete.
