Sexson a nominee for Comeback Award

SEATTLE -- A check-swing that he made in April put first baseman Richie Sexson on the disabled list in 2004. Another check-swing in May knocked him out of the action for good during his one and only season with the Diamondbacks.

Well, the hulking home run-hitting machine is back doing what he does best -- hitting home runs.

As the 2005 season heads into its final five weeks, the Mariners' slugger has re-established himself as a legitimate run producer in the Major Leagues providing the sort of sock the organization had in mind when they signed him to a four-year, $50 million contract last December.

Sexson has performed so well that he's one of the leading candidates for the 2005 MLB Comeback Player of the Year Award Presented by Viagra. Fans like you will choose the winner via an online ballot.
Hes had a pretty insane season considering the freak accident from last season.

isn't there going to be an AL and NL comeback player of the year? I think so as they have the players divided into the 2 leagues.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.
