Game is in the middle of the 6th and the score is 0-0. 5 hits between both teams. Sad offensive effort by two very average teams.

    Dominating peformace, absolutely dominating.

    8 IP, 0 R, 6 K's, 0 BB's.

This guy is supposed to have control problems.

    94 pitches thru 8 innings?

Hard to evaluate a guy pitching vs the Twins though. They have the overall sleepiest bats in the AL. Actually, the only team with a worse team BA is the M's. Both teams suck offensively though. I mean, it's not like Lohse's an all-star pitcher and he only gave up 4 hits tonight himself with 7K's.

Sh*tty bats or no sh*tty bats, it is hard to piss on someone's parade when a guy who is 19 years old just shutout a major league team through 8 innings. I'm geared up to see what he can do against the Halo's.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to downplay it.... more frustrated in my own team than anything. Good job by the kid. He's had two good outtings so far. Just a little bad luck in the other one and ended up witha loss.

Dude has filthy stuff. It's going to be hard for him to avoid arm injuries, though. Especially someone as young as him who throws as hard as he does.

Avoid arm injuries? The M's have taken every pre-caution, he gets yanked usually after the 6th inning in his games, he is on a strict pitch count, before the year is over they'll probably shut him down and send him to the bullpen. And he apparently won't even start throwing his slider until 2007, at the very earliest, despite that pitch having the potential to be his 2nd best pitch.

    Good read on Felix's performance.

The guy compared Felix to Greg Maddux. Only with a 97 MPH heater.

Felix pitch well. So did Lohse. What a suprise that was, both team are not hitting the ball. You got the 3 bagger to give you the game. Both team need to do something with the management fire them all first to go would be the hitting instructors. Man anyone of us could do a better job.

    Twins better win tonight....

    White Sox

I'd really love to see him pitch this year. Do the Sox and M's meet up again this year? If so, projecting the current rotation (which I know is subject to change at any time), is he scheduled to face the Sox?

Safeco was just electric that night. The 34,000 fans erupted when he hit the mound up to the 1st pitch. His fastball from center field was just filthy, plain filthy. He hit 98 on several pitches. Clear into the 7th and 8th inning. He shattered Jason Bartletts bat with a 97 MPH fastball. The bat went to Betacourt and all he had to do was take 2 steps and give the bat back to the bat boy on his way back to the dugout. He made LeCroy look stupid with his 82 MPH changeup, freezing him like an icicle. His curve is pretty good too. Wait till he throws the slider. He had a 105 pitch limit and he could have completed that game. 20 of his 1st 27 pitches were strikes. Felix also used his defense to get out of the Jams in the 5th and 8th innings. Making a leaping athletic play to out the 5th and comeback to get out the 8th. Ichiro saw one play his way. A single from Justin Morneau. After that I think he was board. There were balls actually hit in the air this time. The Twins had no chance on this day, bad offense or not, hell the Yanks didnt have a chance with the stuff he had that day. His next projected start is on Sunday, count 5 days from there, then repeat process Dam.
