    Villone is a goner

Obviously it isn't a done deal, but the writing is all over the wall. Bazardo and Vargas are two of the guys we talked to the Marlins about getting in return. Both left their games early today. Bazardo gave up a lot of runs so he may not be involved, but Vargas apparently entered the game, but was pulled before he even threw a pitch. I hope we got either Bazardo or Olsen along with Vargas, that would be a robbery, and was apparently Bavasi's asking price. Also, a few guys were saying Sherill packed his stuff and left Tacoma before their game started today.

Apparently, it is a done deal per Seattle radio. The deal ended up being for Bazardo and Mike Flannery. I kinda wanted Vargas or Olsen, but this will do.

Yup, ESPN just reported it too.

    Bazardo has 2-3 starter potential.

Gotta love ESPN. They say "two minor leaguers". Don't give the names or anything.

Bazardo looks like he can be that elusive 2nd pitching prospect that we've needed, and where Blackley and Nageotte have failed. All of a sudden we've got some potential in the minors besides Felix in Livingston, Bazardo, and Foppert.

Flannery's stats look impressive, but at 25, he'll need to be in Tacoma by the end of the season.

Yeah, Flannery isn't much of a spect. He's going to be a reliever if he ever makes it, too.
