    Mariners Winn for Torrealba, Foppert

    According to ESPN's Jayson Stark the Giants have acquired Randy Winn from the Mariners for Jesse Foppert and Yorvit Torrealba

    Foppert and Torrealba better be good. Thought not being in the lineup today may have been a sign he was traded.

    no link (and therefore no new thread) but another Padres board (which is usually reliable) is reporting the Padres just traded catcher Miguel Ojeda and minor league pitcher Nathaniel Mateo to the Mariners for catcher Miguel Olivo.

    Given 18-24 months post Tommy John surgery, Foppert should get back into the thick of things. That deal was good for Seattle if it was just Torrealba for Winn, but to get Foppert, it ends up being a low risk deal for potential big reward.
