    Edgar Martinez showed Harold Reynolds the door with a 10-1 beatdown. Freddy Garcia survived with a late surge to beat Mark Langston 7-4.

    Freddy was lucky to make it in to the Quarters, Edgar should roll in this one.

    Arguably the best pure hitter to ever wear the Mariner jersey (although Griff and Ichiro are there too) v. a man who was traded for the likes of Olivo and Jeremy Reed.

    Fisher- You forget Mike Morse was the 3rd person in that deal.....

    Edgar or Ichiro for the best pure hitter....thats going to be tough when its said and done. Id go with Edgar right now but damn its a joy to have seen them both. Junior is the best power hitter weve ever seen but as pure hitter he takes a back seat to these 2.
