His spot in the rotationed was replaced today by a bottle of mustard. The bottle of mustard was also terrible, he was replaced early against St. Louis by.. Ian Snell. Snell has given up four runs without recording an out in the 5th.

Snell just struck out the side in the 6th inning. Maybe the Cardinals were feeling sorry for him?

Snell was moved to the bullpen last week after opening the season with a 6.11 ERA over his first eight starts. He surrendered three hits, two walks and four earned runs in two innings of mop-up duty Monday in the Mariners' 3-9 loss to the Cardinals. The 28-year-old may draw a little interest on waivers. If not, he will head to the M's Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma.
