He completely dismissed the M's despite being 3 and half game back. Sure this will most likely fade but its been 3 months and this scrappy bunch is still there. I mean if your going to talk about the Angels and Rangers. The M's have been in this race the whole time.

Okay, so wikipedia confirms Yuniesky Betancourt is in fact, still playing baseball. To the tune of a .600 OPS. GREAT TRADE, KANSAS CITY, THAT'LL WIN YOU THE DAMNED DIVISION!

Betacourt was an incomptent SS that never improved in any thing. The M's are only 4 and a half back and has better pitching than either team ahead of them. Their offense is something to be desired.
