Mariners 5000 Homers in Franchise History

The 5000th homer in franchise history was hit by Ken Griffey, Jr. Who else would hit it?
Just for fun, Russell Branyan hit the 5001st.

The guy that caught no. 5000 gave the ball back to the M's to put into the museum. Branyan hits balls in anywhere that NFL punters would die for hangtime wise.

Damn, that is incredibly fitting that Griffey Jr. would hit that milestone HR. Congrats to Griff and the entire M's organization.

In hindsight, the 5000th HR in Mets history was Timo Perez....somehow less exciting.

How is that Timo Perez thing working out for you?

Honestly, if he's a healthy body, we might be able to find a spot for him.

...you don't even know how shitty that sounds as I repeat it in my head.

Considering Jeremy Reed is basically our everyday CF, Alex Cora is our everyday SS, and we're relying on guys like Elmer Dessens, Jon Switzer, Pat Misch, Tim Redding, Livan Hernandez, and Omir Santos to keep us in the race......I would take anyone with a clean bill of health.
