M's Game Recaps for 2009

M's win opener 6-1. I will give my thoughts after the replay later on tonight.

Not to ruin it for you, but Hernandez had a helluva game.

Steak already did that. But Im watching the game anyway. Im through the 3rd inning.

Felix did pitch an efficient game. He did better in his other opening day start. Griffey was the key to winning this game by moving Beltre over to get them the lead 1-0 and the HR to put them up 2-1.

The bullpen didn't get exposed this game and i think it will happen in either of these next 3 games.

Where is Steak posting now? He told me but I don't remember. If you would Porter pm me where he is posting.. I wish he would come back to the site. It was fun talking Twins baseball with him!

Its been mostly through AIM honestly. He does a lot of writing for MVN. And about that bullpen for the M's. That brought back some memories I want to forget. They had the game and watched it get blown in the 9th. Just like with Mesa, Ayala, Guardado, etc.

Morrow wasn't even close to the strike zone tonight. He might not be 100% and need to shut him down til he is. And it was a pure joy to see Griffey hit a homer in his first game back with Seattle. Couldn't have written that any better.

The M's once again scrap their way to a lead only for Carlos Silva to be pulled too late. Jabasuskas had a brilliant 2 innings in his debut and showed a lot of poise. But timely hitting from the Twins gave them a 6-5 win.

MVP: Betacourt 3 hits and Jabasuskas 2 IP, 1 H, Pickoff.

Turning Point: Silva being pulled 2 batter to late. He didn't get a reliever up early enough to stop the bleeding.

Mariners took 2 straight from the A's. 5-4 and 8-5.

M's improve to 4-2.

Good to see Griffey get a single in his first AB back in Seattle

That place was a f'n zoo yesterday. M's won 3-2 in the 10th, but the story was 45,000 people going absolutely bonkers for Griffey.

M's won 11-3 on Wednesday

M's blew Jasabauskas's great start and lost 5-1.
