Moyer gives up his first of the game to Luis Rivas, but he gets the next two guys out. Jamie is looking real good so far, hopefully the top of the order can give us some more production.

Adrian Beltre singles up the middle for his first hit as a Seattle Mariner.

Beltre on first, two outs, Sexson is up.

Both pitchers are in a groove. Still 5-0.

Twins get their first run of the game on a single to right by Bartlett. Moyer gets out of the inning though. Valdez, Ich, and Reed coming up to bat.

    5-1 M's.

    Ichiro caught stealing? Blah.

I wish Reed would get a hit, he hasn't looked so hot at the plate today.

Moyer's day is done after 5 2/3 innings. Only gave up one run, and it was unearned, but he has a base runner on 2nd with two outs. Mateo coming in. Great outing by Jamie.

Great effective day by Moyer. I hope the bullpen can hold them off

Boone just looks like an idiot when he flips the bat and he doesn't hit a HR. Beltre and Boone each hit a shot to the warning track, but both stayed in the park. We've probably seen the last of Radke.

I just got home. That 1st inning was the perfect 1st inning. Ichiro gets on, Beltre gets on, Sexson HR. Very Nice. Welcome to Seattle Sexson!

I am starting to belive that this will be a good year.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

Another bonus: Julio Mateo has looked great so far, it sure would be nice if he became a dominant reliever out of the pen. He retried all 5 batters that he faced. Villone coming in now.

Game 1 is in the books! 5-1! Great game for Sexson!

Moyer was better then expected, Sexson was amazing, and our relief was great.
