Series Overview- Seattle Mariners vs Balitmore O's

    Seattle Mariners vs Balitmore Os
    Camden Yards
    May 24-26th

    Recently-
The O's are stuggling as of late losing 3 of 5 games. Two to the Phillies. Seattle has won 3 of 5, which is the best point in a month. Taking 2 of 3 from the red hot Padres.

    Probable Starters

Tuesday- Joel Pineiro (2-3, 6.52) vs Bruce Chen (5-2, 3.63)
Welcome back, Joel! Your prize is having to face a reborn Bruce Chen and the vaunted O's offense. I hope you have your mechanics back into place cause that ERA could be over 8 by the end of the day. Chen has been stellar this season and its been building from late last season. Opponents are hitting .194 vs Chen at Camden Yards. Hes 3-1 with a 2.86 ERA and .92 WHIP. Joel is 1-3 on the road this season, sporting a CY YOUNG LIKE 5.79 ERA. He has had some success vs the O's in his career, not really 3-2, 4.54 ERA.

Wednesday- Jamie Moyer (4-1, 6.11) vs Rodrigo Lopez (2-2, 4.88)
Jamie hasnt lost since May 6th, but hasnt won since April 24th. Its pretty odd considering hes allowed 26 runs (24 of them Earned) in his last 13.2 IP (spanning over 4 starts, 15.80 ERA). Lopez isnt pitching all that great but even then hes better than 4/5ths of the M's rotation stats wise. Hes 1-1, with a 3.48 ERA but hes 0-3 in 4 games vs the M's in his career with an ERA well over 6.

Thursday- Ryan Franklin (2-5, 4.53) vs Daniel Cabrera (3-3, 5.91 ERA)
Expect a lot of free passes in this game (Cabrera has 25, Franklin has 23). Lets be honest, Balitmore has Ryan's number, address, credit card number and pin, everything. In 10 apperances, 4 of them starts, hes 0-3 with a 5.17 ERA, allowing 37 hits, walking 7, 6 homeruns and 18 earned runs in 31.1 IP. The enigma that is Frankin has 5 losses (more than Moyer and Pineiro combined), and a WHIP thats the lowest among the 6 starters in this series (1.20). Hes only allowed 44 H in 55 IP and opp are hitting .215, figure that out.

    By The Numbers-
12- # of HRs by Boone, Ichiro and Beltre COMBINED.
37.5%- percentage of HRs hit by Richie Sexson by this great offense
.263- OBP of Adrian Beltre this season
.638- OPS of the same player thats supposed to be a good addition.
0- # of Mariners starting pitchers with an ERA under 4.4
63- # of HRs hit by the O's (2 times as many as the M's)
    .453- OBP of Brian Roberts
14- # of O's hitters with a HIGHER OBP than Beltre.
48- Combined Free Passes issued by Lopez and Cabrera.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)

TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
    TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)

I know it will be hard, but I went with Seattle 2-1. Good luck on this as you should have my luck along with yours.
