Outlook- Boston has been really hot as of late and have pulled into one game of the Balitmore O's. Winning 4 of their last 5 games. Seattle has lost 10 of 11 games and got swept by the hated Yankees in the middle of the week.
Probable Starters
Today- Jeremi Gonzalez (1-0, 4.22) vs Joel Pineiro (2-3, 5.66)
This is a rematch of a May 8th affair in which Jeremi only allowed 4 hits and 2 earned runs over 5 and 2/3 innings. Jeremi is 2-1 vs the Seattle in his carrer, posting a 3.00 ERA. Joel Pineiro continues to be consistently bad this season allowing 40 hits in 35 IP. Boston hasnt been nice to him for hes 2-5 with a Cy Young like 7.08 ERA. Boston also hits .329 vs Joel.
Tomorrow- Wade Miller (0-0, 3.60) vs Ryan Franklin (2-4, 4.50)
This is also a rematch of the 2nd half of the May 8th doubleheader. Wade Miller did pretty good in his 1st start back, strking out 6 and walking just 1 in 5 innings pitched. Let it be known that Ryan Franklin is 0-2 at home but opponents have a .203 BA and a 1.24 WHIP vs him this season.
Sunday- Tim Wakefield (4-1, 3.18) vs Gil Meche (2-2, 5.14)
Tim Wakefield is becoming ageless and it seems likes he reinvents himself. Gil is a damn enigma this season. but he fairs well vs Boston. Hes 2-1 with a 3.98 ERA with a CG SHO around his belt. It should be a pretty good matchup but Timmy is just dealing right now.
