    This is a toughie.

I'll go with Putz, only because he's an RP and the other two are everyday players.

    Ibanez,

While Putz isnt an everyday player, Where the hell would we be if we still had Everyday Eddie closing.

Keep in mind, JJ Putz has given up one run since May 23rd.

It's the same situation in Boston: Papelbon, Ortiz, and Ramirez. I'd vote the same way most likely, although Papelbon has been the pen's savior.

In your situation id take away Papelbon because at least they had a better option to go to instead of just Everyday Eddie.

The Sox wouldn't be without Papelbon either.

They had a better option? Who's that? Mike "Inherited Runners? Oh noes" Timlin, Keith Foulke"n Injuries", or one of the young guns? They have a craptastic pen too.

Couldn't you have just put Soriano in the closer's role? Woods isn't exactly amazing but adequate. The Sox pen has been better, but I wouldn't rely on Timlin at all to be a closer.

The Mariners would not be in playoff contention if they didn't have any one of those guys. My vote goes for Putz for the same reason as Fisher, and also because I don't like the name Putz.
