Jeremy Reed breaks his thumb, likely headed to the DL

CF Reed breaks thumb, might be headed to DL

SEATTLE (AP) -- Mariners center fielder Jeremy Reed broke his right thumb in the 11th inning of Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies.
With two outs in the top of the 11th, Reed made a diving attempt at Brad Hawpe's sinking line drive. Both Reed and right fielder Ichiro Suzuki made aggressive initial moves toward the liner, but there appeared to be a miscommunication over who would take the ball.
Reed landed awkwardly and left the game. Willie Bloomquist took over in center. Reed is scheduled to see a hand specialist in Seattle on Monday.
"Jeremy, yeah, I'm concerned," Seattle manager Mike Hargrove said.

Ugh. Oh well, personally I will only miss his occasional defensive plays. He's hitless against lefties this year. I've heard he could be out for as many as 4-6 weeks so I guess we will see a lot more of Bloomquist and maybe Adam Jones

Call up Jones! Or Snelling? Or Choo? All of them have played some CF this year.

Anything other than seeing Boom Boom out there everyday.

We called up Choo. He hit the ball hard tonight and played a good CF. Better than Reed...
