Nix flies out. Inning should be over, but it isn't thanks to Boonie. One on. Two outs.

Meche is dealing right now. 5 innings, just 3 hits, no walks. His pitch count is down too. Too bad we are making their Little Unit look like the Big Unit.

Bases loaded. Winn is up. Just one out. We need some runs here.

Winn hits it to third, got Ibanez out at 2nd, but a run scored. Wilson is up.

    Tied. 1-1.

As bad as he has been, I would much rather have Olivo up right now.

Gil is quickly losing control. Pitch count is up to 90 and he just issued his first walk. He may be done soon.

Gil quickly rebounds and gets the next two guys out. He is only at 96 pitches, but showed signs of fatigue in the 7th. I like to see pitchers go as long as possible, but the best chance we have to win is probably with Mateo in the game. We'll see what Mike does though. Either way, Gil pitched a gem tonight. Good work.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

Gil came back in and just gased Nix on three pitches for his third strikeout.

Villone is in. Meche has not had much success against Blalock. Good call.

Villone gets out of the jam. Sexson homers. Boonie doubles. Ibanez is walked. All is good in Texas.
