    Giants, Rockies battle to a 6 - 6 tie.

Abraham Nunez knocked in three runs in his first two at-bats, lofting a two-run homer in the second and an RBI double in the fourth. Chad Santos tied the game in the top of the eighth with a two-run double.

Newly annointed fifth starter Jamey Wright pitched four innings of two-run ball, giving up seven hits and a walk while striking out four. He had not yielded an earned run all spring until an infield single with the bases loaded accounted for a Rockies run in the first.

The Giants wrap up their Cactus League season with a final game against Oakland, sending Jason Schmidt to the hill against the A's Barry Zito in a 12:05 p.m. PT game between the Bay Area rivals.

THANK GOD THE CACTUS LEAGUE IS COMING TO AN END!!

I hope Wright really turns his career around in SF this year. Righetti is a very underrated pitching coach and hope this guys stay on the same page all season. Not to mention you have one of the best pticher's catchers behind the plate. Matheny is a great for this staff.

Giants muscle way to rout of Athletics 12-0

The Giants set an unofficial Spring Training record with seven home runs in the game, by seven different players. Catcher Mike Matheny tagged a two-run homer to left with one out in the second inning to open the scoring, and shortstop Omar Vizquel, who had singled in the first, hit a solo shot in the third. Third baseman Angel Chavez doubled and scored on a groundout by Steve Finley in the fifth to give the Giants a 4-0 lead. Finley made it 6-0 with a two-run homer in the seventh, and Abraham Nunez and Pedro Feliz hit solo homers later in the frame. Jason Ellison added a solo shot of his own in the ninth, and Todd Greene capped the scoring with a three-run blast.

Righty starter Jason Schmidt was outstanding, holding the A's two hits and a walk with one strikeout over six shutout innings. Tyler Walker took over and worked a shutout seventh.

THE GIANTS ARE ON THERE WAY HOME!! GO GIANTS
