Barry Bonds will probably join the team on Monday. Bonds homered today in his simulated game and ran the bases as well.

Todd Linden is not a very patient hitter and don't see him making the squad again next year. He has Pedro Feliz disease.

Randy Winn might have found a home in San Fran. Since coming over to the Giants, Winn is hitting .313 with seven homers and 14 RBI including tonight's homer. That is more homers than he has in the AL. Winn is worth picking up on a one year deal to give an outfield of Bonds, Alou and Winn with Ellison backing up.

The severity of Schmidt's groin is still unknown. Hopefully it is not too long but we know Schmidt's past.

Matt Cain has lived up to expections thus far. He looks like a veteran out there. 2.25 ERA and a .92 Whip through two games. More strikeouts a are on the way.

Matheny is second in the NL in RBI among catchers and has not had an error all year. And people wonder why we got him.

Giants have lost three in a row after winning seven in a row and have pretty much fallen back out of the race. It was fun while it lasted and gave us Giants fans hope for once.
