    Giants have a winning streak?

The Giants have gotten something they haven't had all year, great starting pitching. The Giants have won three in a row and are tied with the Astros right now at one run a piece. Schmidt dominated the first game and Lowry did the second game and all this coming on the hottest team in the NL. Unfortunately, the Giants aren't gaining any ground as they are seven games out. Randy Winn has been great in his first week as a Giant scoring 6 runs in five games. Hawkins has been pitching well and Ray Durham has continued to do well. Benitez is coming back soon to give a real boost of confidence to this struggling club. Brian Cooper is pitching his heart out today as he is given another shot at pitching in the big leagues. His first game of the year turns out to be a pitcher's duel with Roger Clemens. Not bad eh?

The streak is over now thanks to an awful showing from Scott Eyre. He came into the game with the scored tied at 1-1 then gave up four runs. Fassero didn't do any better. Jeff might be let go whenever Benitez comes back. Brian Cooper actually outpitched the Rocket.
