Big win tonight in extras where the Giants now have a 4-1 record. Bumgarner pitched great but once again the defense was shaky. Crawford now has 9 errors. Posey hit one of the longest homers I have seen him hit and it was a big 3 run shot. His replacement Sanchez hit the eventual GW HR as he continues to get the big hits.

Giants lost yesterday but took the series. Zito showed his true colors digging us an early hole by giving up 8 runs in three innings. He had a crucial error as did Crawford.....again. He is really not as good as advertised with the glove.

In other news, Culberson was optioned to AAA so Theriot should be ready to return. Whoopity shit! Sandoval took 25 swings of a tee so it appears he is ahead of schedule

Giants broke out for 14 runs with Cabrera and Pagan leading the charge with 4 RBI each! Giants had 4 SB in the game so it was weird to see them trying to actually manufacture runs!! Good game for the offense and Vogelsong had a quality start but the bullpen wasn't too hot, mainly Lopez. Posey had another error giving him 7 for the season. Weird game.

Melky Cabrera remained scalding hot in Tuesday's win over Arizona, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
The multi-hit effort was Cabrera's 16th of the month. Impressively, Tuesday's contest gave the Melk Man 50 hits in May, a Giants record for hits in a month. He has just four home runs to show for all the knocks, but is hitting an elite .376/.420/.556 through San Francisco's first 50 games.
He has been nothing but red hot his entire Giants career so far and should be an All Star if he keeps up this pace! Giants now sit just 5.5 games behind the Dodgers.

Giants lose another one Lincecum pitches and now fall to 2-9 on the season when he does start. He actually pitched well tonight giving up just 1 ER but did walk five. Why Bochy brought in Edlefsen in a one run game is beyond me. He should be the mop up man and we had Affeldt, Hensley and Lopez available plus a day off tomorrow. Oh ell, Giants took the series and will have four against the Cubs this weekend.

Melky got a single to tie Winn's franchise record for most hits in a month.
