A few more points of Giants news:
Bochy thinks Sandoval needs to lose some more weight even though Sandoval claims the extra weight is actually muscle.
Lincecum has lost a lot of weight going from 196 last year back down to the 175 range.
Wilson too has lost about 15 lbs and says he feels 100% going into the 2012 season.

Apparently Matt Cain is selling his house. Could be something or could mean he is prepared to test free agency

The Chronicle is stating that he had put his house up for sale before and he backed out because of the market, so now he's trying it again. For whatever it's worth.

Angel Villalona had his visa approved and will make ST on time. I still can't believe the Giants are wasting a roster spot on this murderer! This should be the last we hear of Angel this season unless he murders someone else.

Giants signed RHP Ramon Ortiz to a minor league contract.
He'll also get an invite to spring training. Ortiz, who turns 39 in March, posted a 4.86 ERA and 25/11 K/BB ratio over 33 1/3 innings with the Cubs last season. He'll likely serve as insurance for the starting rotation.
    More depth for the Giants

I am not sure what to actually believe anymore with these reports of "murders" in Latin America, the charges were dropped on Angel Villalona though he settled with the family. A lot of these incidents are brought about by these players being targeted due to their new found fame and wealth.

The incident surrrounding Simone last year is another case of one story breaking and ending completely different. His case went from him arguing with a friend and shooting him by accident, to it being shots fired in the air during New Year's and hitting his friend..... to eventually his gun didn't even match the balistics test and he was cleared.

Innocent until proven guilty, except in the court of public opinion. If you have the capability of covering up a crime that means that's obviously what happened.

My biggest problem is that he is wasting a spot on the 40 man roster. He hasn't really shown he deserves it and hasn't played in two years.

    Re: Giants 2011 Offseason

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Giants are not making progress in extension talks with Matt Cain.
The two sides have not planned further discussions either, increasing the likelihood that Cain will hit the open market after the 2012 World Series. A 27-year-old right-hander, Cain registered a sparkling 2.88 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 179/63 K/BB ratio in 221 2/3 innings last year. With another fine statistical season, his asking price in free agency could be in the $100 million range.
Looks like the Giants lied to all us fans when they said locking up pitching was the main priority of the offseason. So far, nothing unless you want to count Lincecum's two year deal.
