    Giants Cubs for three!

The Giants are four out in the division and have been playing horrible baseball but I'm sure that's no shock to anyone who has paid any attention. The offense is awful and the Giants are just waiting til September 1st for possible changes. Til then, they have a three game series against the Cubs. Giants have Lincecum, Vogelsong and Bumgarner lined up to pitch so the Giants are in good shape there but the pitching isn't the problem, its that pathetic offense. Beltran has done a good job since coming off the DL but the problem is no one is driving him in! Beltran should be hitting cleanup and not third but Bochy doesn't see that. Torres came back last night and even swiped a base so if he can keep that up, it will add long lost speed and a possible spark. Torres has got to step it up as do guys like Huff and Ross but how many times can one say that? Doesn't look like it is going to happen. The DBacks are playing the Rockies so if we can win this series, we might pick up a game. Giants could really use a sweep going into this weekend where they face the 1st place Dbacks.

Giants are making Randy Wells look like Ferguson Jenkins tonight. Down 1-0 in the 6th with the top of the order up. Giants need this win because the Dbacks are currently up 4-0 over the Rox.

I'm shocked. Wells usually brings the best out of light hitting teams.

2-0 Cubs. Two mistakes from Lincecum and it seems like the game is out of reach. Pathetic!

5-0 now thanks to another Cubs HR and some shitty defense. Good night folks!

Cubs broadcasters said that this is the first time Lincecum has ever given up 3 home runs in a game.

And Pena goes deep as I was typing that.

I'm usually a optimistic person, but that whole optimism drug I usually have, must be expired, because I don't feel confident as a Giants fan for this season ):

Giants still have a hand in their fate with six games left with Arizona. I'm not willing to concede it's over til they are mathematically out of it.

    Re: Cubs for three!

Giants fall to six games out after another pathetic showing by the Giants. Beltran went 0-4 while the man in front of him went 3-5 with NO RUNS SCORED. Beltran missed a lot of opportunities tonight! Vogelsong didn't have his best stuff but did only give up three runs. Mota came in and let the game get out of reach by giving up two of his own. Giants need a win before going into the weekend series with the Dbacks!
