Giants It's not getting any better

Sergio Romo and Carlos Beltran (finally) were put on the DL today with Miguel Tejada being activated from the DL and Dan Runzler being called up. The Giants have been having yet another terrible August, just like last year and there is no light at the end of the tunnel or at least not yet. Giants lost a heartbreaker last night and on top of all of this Sandoval will miss a couple of games after fouling a pitch off his foot. Giants need a boost and Tejada isn't it.

Nate and Keppinger's tests came back negative. Sanchez twisted his ankle tonight. Might see a Surkamp call up.

Man this season is like all DL, Sanchez, Posey, Burrell, Beltran, this is just crazy, Giants need to put on some magical run in order to make it to the playoffs.

Has there been any reports on Posey's progress?

Posey got off crutches a week or two ago and his wife had twins. That's the last I have heard.

Think they'll make any deals through waivers with all the injuries, or just grin and bear it?

Now that the Giants are behind the Dbacks, I can see them picking up a player or two. Maybe a Coco Crisp or Ramon Hernandez if he is placed on waivers.

Wilson now has an inflamed elbow after pitching with a bad back. Perfect!

I'm starting to think Kevin Towers has a hitman on his payroll.

Whiteside to the DL with Hector Sanchez being called up. This one I'm not exactly upset with. Whiteside fooled me into thinking he could be a decent replacement for Posey but he showed quickly he can't handle everyday duty. His defense was exposed in a big way that was hidden behind his rare starts in the past. I like Sanchez's bat and really don't see him doing any worse than Whiteside. I only see improvement.

Looks like Wilson could be headed to the DL. The word "overkill" come to mind.

Looks like Nate could be headed to the DL with a sore foot. Goddamn the Giants are so lucky!!
