Giants Giants @ Arizona, Battle for 1st

Giants head to Arizona after an off day to regroup a bit and take on the Dbacks who sit just .5 game back of first. Sandoval is back which should give a boost to the lineup. A series win will suffice.

And Panda gets a RBI single on the very first pitch he sees!

Giants first game with Panda back and we're up 5-0 in the 5th. Dbacks are threatening though.

Its not 6-4 thanks to Cain giving up a big three run shot to Montero and Nate coming right back and hitting a RBI triple

Giants win 6-5 in typical torture fashion. Wilson just cannot attack the zone ahead in the count. He insists on getting cute and walking at least one batter.

Giants win again and are now 2.5 games up. We have scored 11 runs in two games Huff had a good game as did Burrell and Hall. Burrell had a triple for god's sake! Hall says he and Meulens (hitting coach) have found what was wrong with Hall's swing and that 9th inning double off of Putz could be proof of that. He had a nice Giants debut hitting the go ahead run. Giants win 5-2 and look to sweep tomorrow.

Good win, the key play of the game came in the 8th, AZ down 3-2 with 2 outs with a runner on 1st I believe, the dude hit double down the left field line and Rowand to Tejada to Whiteside for the out and inning over with the lead!!!!

Giants couldn't sweep but went 10 innings only to lose off a walkoff HR from Upton. Don't know why Casilla was still in but the Giants still have the lead in the West and now will take on the struggling A's.

Not surprised how that series ended. The Dbacks have taken advantage of teams that have taken them for granted, come July the will begin their decent back to oblivion... It was a nice story, but they still don't have quite enough.
