Giants Giants @ San Diego 4/5-4/6

The Giants looked sloppy defensively and helped give some games away to the rival Dodgers. Now they go to SD for a two game set. The pitching matchups definitely favor the Giants but if you can't play defense, it doesn't really matter. A sweep would definitely get things going right before they head home for their Opener.

Game 1- Madison Bumgarner vs Aaron Harang
Game 2- Tim Lincecum (0-1, 0.00 ERA) vs Tim Stauffer (0-0, 3.00 ERA)

If this offense can't hit Harang hard, then there is little hope for a sweep. We should be able to get runs in bunches.

Giants are losing in typical Giants fashion. TORTURE is back!! Giants had runners on the corners with no out in the top of the 3rd and failed to score on Harang. The Giants were winning 1-0 at that point. After the bottom of the 3rd, the Padres lead 3-1.

Once again bad defense and zero timely hitting do us in. We lost 3-1.

Great game.....I love watching the lack of fundamentals from a WS defending champ

Giants get the early lead 3-0. Lincecum has punched four out so far. This is a lineup The Freak should dominate. He is hitting 94 mph and spotting it. Posey went deep for a 2-R shot and Huff had a RBI double.

Lincecum serves up a HR to the red hot Nick Hundley. 3-1, Lincecum's still looking sharp.

The Giants bats woke up and now lead 8-1 in the 6th. Lincecum has been cruising and has 10 K's so far. Huff, Posey and Huff all have 3 hits each

Giants beat down the Friars to take the split in the series 8-4. Every starter had a hit except for Tejada and Burrell. Wilson made his debut and it wasn't pretty. He gave up two hits and a walk before getting yanked. He was topping out at 95mph so he still has some work to do. Good win for the Giants going into the home opener! Time for the ring ceremony come Friday!!
