Nope, this is only his first season at AAA too. He is good defensively and can hit, just not for power.

Pablo Sandoval (hamate bone surgery) hit at least three home runs -- two from the left side and one from the right side -- during batting practice Wednesday.
According to Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News, Sandoval looked "free and easy," and Kung-Fu Panda said he felt good. It looks like he'll begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Fresno on Friday or Saturday. He'll probably need a week or so worth of at-bats.
Definitely good news for Giants fans. We need Panda is a big way!!

Pablo Sandoval began experiencing some mild soreness in his wrist and forearm on Sunday.
Sandoval did not play in a rehab game Sunday because of rainy conditions at High-A San Jose and is likely to sit out until Tuesday as a precautionary measure. The Giants are still hopeful that the big third baseman will be ready to return at some point this week.
As much as I want Sandoval back in this lineup, I don't want him rushed and have to go back on the DL. Make sure he's close to 100% and then bring him up.

Barry Zito allowed just two hits and one run in 6 2/3 innings Monday at Single-A San Jose.
Zito also struck out six batters without issuing a single walk. The left-hander, out with a sprained foot, is likely to make a couple more rehab starts before returning to the majors in late June. So far, everything is running fine.
Bochy has said that a six man rotation is highly unlikely so its still unclear what will happen to Zito. Its good to see him do well in his first start though.

Pablo Sandoval (wrist) homered and drove in four runs Tuesday in a minor league rehab game with Triple-A Fresno.
The home run was from the right side of the plate. Sandoval is scheduled to work out with the Giants on Wednesday before resuming his minor league rehab assignment. Barring any further setbacks, he's expected to return during the Giants' current homestand, which concludes Sunday.
Good news but I want to hear how his arm is feeling today. With him back Tejada will be gone.

Bill fucking Hall?? Just what this team needs, another past his prime player who can't get on base. This is just a terrible deal for the Giants. Bochy will feel compelled to play the veteran more than he has to and Burriss, who isn't all that good but is the best option we have, will rid the pine. Losing Freddy is a huge blow to this team and he has been our MVP so far this year.
