    Giants NLCS: Giants vs Phillies

The Giants put away the Atlanta Brooks Conrads and Bobby Cox and will now head to Philly to play a seven game series. Game 1 will feature Lincecum vs Halladay, the best pitching matchup possible. Giants will not stand a chance if they play defense like they did against the Braves. I want to see more Fontenot and less Sandoval. I also want to see Blochy act like he knows what he is doing. Too many terrible managing decisions packed inside four games. Giants have shown they can hit Hamels, Oswalt and Halladay before. Lets hope they can do it one more time!!

Only way the Gaints win is if your starting pitching can pitch well in Philly. I think this sereis will go five games. But Philly to me is the team to beat. Good luck vs the mighty Phillies.

I'm not worried about our starting pitching, its the offense and defense that scares me. Our starters had a .97 ERA during the NLDS. Only three other teams have done that in baseball history.

I was discussing this with my fellow co-worker, the Giants will put up a better fight than the Dodger did in the past 2 years, Giants have the pitching to match up with the Phillies or even to some extent better starting pitching than Phillies. And I agree the Giants Offense and Defense to step it up, can't make bonehead mistakes like they did against ATL because Phil will make you pay, ask the Reds that.

They'll be without Jonathan Broxton/George Sherrill too.

Whats the reason behind that? I mean it doesn't matter to me, I can live with Cain and Sanchez they are both 2A and 2B to me. But now I'm thinking about it, is it because of the righty-lefty combo? Lincecum-Sanchez-Cain-Bumgarner?

Cain is a flyball pitcher and in CBP those flyball are more likely to be homers than at AT&T. Sanchez did very well in CBP earlier this year shutting down their lefty heavy lineup so I think that played into it as well.

Also I forgot the LCS format, is it 2-2-1-1-1? Or is it 2-3-2?
