This is where we see if the Giants are contenders or pretenders. I was glad to see Blochy sit Burrell tonight vs the Dbacks and get some rest for the big series. I can see Posey playing at first tomorrow with Sanchez going which will help keep him fresher. The Giants can do it, it all comes down to execution.

Its Cain tonight and not Sanchez, my bad. Sanchez is tomorrow night. I feel good about having Cain to start this series off. He has been our best pitcher this year.

Giants take an early 1-0 lead but it looks like it could be a long night. The umpire has a tight strike zone and the Giants already have hit into two rally-killing double plays.

Ballgame!! Cain out for the 9th and gave up a two run shot to Ludwick. I don't know why Cain came out for the 9th. I would have liked to have seen Mota or Ray come in but instead we bring in Lopez and Ramirez to clean up Cain's mess. Not too smart but we'll take the win.

Bochy is either a cunning genius or a lucky idiot for letting Brian Wilson end the scoring threat in the top of the 9th.

I'll go with the former because he knew the Padres offense wasn't going to do anything anyways so why burn another reliever?

The Padres can't hit, have young inexperienced pitching. The Giants have the pitching and the Rockies have the hitting and Jimenez. I personally think the Giants are going to take over.

The Giants will have 1st place by themselves tomorrow, maybe fall back to a tie again on Sunday only because Latos is pitching, then get it back again a day later.

But they still need to look out for Colorado who's on fire right now.

Tough loss for the Giants tonight. 1-0. Payback for last night I guess. Pretty ****ing bad when we can't even hit Stauffer. Lincecum on the bump tomorrow so lets hope we can get this back to a tie.
