Giants Barry Zito opens the season strong

It was against the Astros though, so that's like me winning a marathon against a corpse.

Zito pitched 6 innings, gave up 3 hits and no runs, with 5 punchouts. The mighty Astros offense managed 4 hits.

I think the corpse would still win. Have you seen the zombies these days, they sprint!

Nice job yesterday Koz. And zombies are way faster than hockey fans. Hockey players are chodes that couldn't cut it in speed skating.

Apparently the Astros have chosen not to hit this year. I think I'll need to revise my standings and take Pittsburgh above them.

No Berkman equals no runs. Simple way of looking at it for me.

I'd take Pittsburgh at least until the rest of the league starts to call up their good players.

It's interesting how we all feel like the good players are the talented spects waiting for their turn. When did prospects become this intriguing? I seem to care about them as much, if not more, than the major league talent. For me, it is the possibility of potential that fires me up. Anyways, well put KOZ.

But Houston doesn't even have potential.
They fail at this thing called "prospects"

Um um um, I meant until the other teams ravage Pittsburgh's roster, you know, like it happens every season. The annual rebuild.

Yeah, but wasn't Biggio and Bagwell? How about that crazy centerfield? Or the glorious years of Enron Field?

Use those thoughts to keep you warm at night Astros fans.
