    Giants won a series

The Giants beat the Dbacks for the second straight day to win the series. The Giants won 4-2 in a pretty sloppy game both from the players and umps. Rueter pitched very well giving up just two runs but did not get the win. Vizquel and Alou both had threee hits and combined for three RBI. Alou is now hitting .326 and Vizquel leads all NL SS's in BA.

All Star representative: Every team gets one and for the Giants I can only think of three guys. Those are Alou, Vizquel, and Scott Eyre. Alou is hitting .326 and has really helped this team have the little success it has had. Vizquel is leading all SS's in fielding % and is leading the NL in BA. Not bad for an "ancient" player. Scott Eyre has 13 Holds and a 2.81 ERA and has been the only positive thing to come out of the Giants bullpen.

Alou has made it clear that he wants to retire a Giant under his father.
