    Giants Giants @ Colorado

Randy Johnson (2-2, 4.50 ERA) versus Ubaldo Jimenez (1-4, 6.58 ERA)

The Giants have a two game series in hitter friendly Coors and this might be the perfect thing to get the offense going before their series with the Dodgers. Johnson is going for win #298 and is 7-4 with a 3.50 ERA at Coors field. Giants need another outing like last week's against the Rockies where he had seven shutout innings. Lets hope for the sweep gaining momentum going into LA where the Dodgers haven't lost. Its also Willie Mays birthday so a win would be fitting. Happy birthday Willie!

Stat of the day: Molina has a .304 BA while having a .302 OBP.

Yeah man a sweep would be nice! Especially the way LA is playing we need to stay as close as possible.

And whats up with these 2 game series man? Is that something new this season? Because I remember once in a while a 2 game series, but back to back and by every team this week, unless I never noticed it before?

Its been around for a couple of seasons now. It sucks but its part of the new era of baseball.

Random fact: Johnson is the all-time leader in wins against the Rockies. Never would have guessed that.

You guys need these two wins before heading off for that series in LA. Maybe Bochy will realize that and make some changes. If not, you're just digging your own grave (not that I'm one to talk, seeing how well my team has faired thus far).

Johnson got smoked today giving up seven earned runs and the Giants are losing 8-1 in the 8th. Definitely no sweep for the Giants.

11-1 final score. And the Dodgers are leading 10-3 in their game. Yikes.

Giants need to split and take the series in LA for the Giants to keep the Dodgers from running away with this division

5-0 Giants after two Molina homers!! Hopefully the Manny revelation has pumped these guys up a little bit.

6-0 in the 7th. Cain had a rough start but finished his day strong allowing no runs and retiring seven straight to end his day. Cain now has a 2.61 ERA
