Johnson tossed gem, 7 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 0 runs getting his 297th career victory!
Giants won 3-2, oh and Brian Wilson came on to get a 4 out save throwing 35 pitches!

Giants win the series and it was a big one. Anytime you can take a series from division rivals its a big one. Cain had his first rough outing of the year and Zito continued his success even with Holm behind the plate and not Sandoval. He still hasn;t gone a win while on his current hot streak but did lower his ERA to 3.99. Can't remember the last time Zito had a sub-4 ERA this late in the season. Aurilia had a big hit today to get the walkoff win in the 10th. Johnson is only three wins away from #300. Good stuff and the Giants remain a game over .500

Could it be that the reason Zito pitches well is because Molina isn't behind the plate? Maybe Molina calls too many fastballs, which works for guys like Lincecum and Cain, but Zito needs to throw more curveballs because his fastball is below average. It could be that guys like Sandoval and Holm call a game better suited to Zito's strengths.

Absolutely. I think Molina tries to over-think with Zito and gets too creative. Sandoval and Holm keep it simple and Zito is more aggressive. Whatever the reason, I don't want to see Molina catch Zito ever again.
