    Giants Renteria, Burriss To Switch?

Manager Bruce Bochy has told current No. 2 hitter Edgar Renteria to be prepared for the possibility of hitting eighth.
Such a move would obviously be a detriment to Renteria's already limited value, and would move Emmanuel Burriss to the second spot in the order. Both players have struggled thus far (Burriss is hitting .100 and Renteria is hitting .160), and for Burriss at least, the switch would have to be seen as a positive.
I just don't get Bochy's mindset on anything baseball related. So now he is going to switch one slumping hitter with another? Both have terrible OBP's at this point so why not move Lewis up to #2 and Sandoval or Rowand to #3? What really blows my mind is that he is going to keep batting Molina cleanup. I am not knocking his ability to drive in runs but his ability to get on base and his slug-like speed. Sandoval has zero RBI hitting behind Molina and its not a shock as to why. Only good from this is maybe they will see sooner rather than later that Frandsen was the right choice to start at second.

I agree man, why not just move both of them down to the 7-8 slot, or call up Frandsen in a week or so if Burriss keeps struggling.

I think he's just trying to shake the lineup, see if Burriss can get more fastballs in a higher spot

Burriss is a slap hitter. Him seeing fastballs won't really help that much.
