    Why did the Giants sour on this guy ? Why didnt they trade him ? Why'd they just release him ?

    Davis wasn't released, he was sent down assignment which puts him on waivers. If someone picks him up, they will have to give us something in return. If no one picks him up (which is highly unlikely), he will go to Fresno. With the emergence of Bowker and Fred Lewis doing so well, Davis became expendable. Davis had a slow spring too.

    We'd be stupid not to take a shot on this guy......it's not as if our glaring weakness is OF, team speed, and CF defense.......lol this guy addresses all of those things....

    Even if he hits lightly.....it's not like we're getting production from CF now....so if he can stabalize the defense, bring speed to the lineup, and hit a little......it's more than we're getting now

    Just give us one of those good arms in relief and I have no problem with it. I like Davis and was hoping he would get the start in LF but Lewis outperformed him at every facet of the game. Davis will help any team he goes to.
