Giants agreed to terms with RHP Vinnie Chulk on a one-year, $837,500 contract.
After earning $396,000 last season while going 5-4 with a 3.57 ERA in 53 innings, Chulk requested $975,000 via arbitration. The Giants countered at $725,000, with the two sides avoiding arbitration by settling just below the midpoint. Chulk can earn an additional $12,500 if he appears in 60 games this season, which he was on pace to do last year before missing the final five weeks with a blood clot in his right hand.

Giants agreed to terms with RHP Kevin Correia on a one-year, $1.045 million contract.
Correia was asking for $1.3 million in arbitration and the Giants offered $850,000, so the two sides settle around the midpoint. Correia can earn another $75,000 in bonuses, with $25,000 incentives for reaching each of 25, 27 and 29 starts.

Giants agreed to terms with RHP Brad Hennessey on a one-year, $1.6 million contract.
Hennessey's stint as a closer probably earned him twice what he would have made as a super-two player had he put up the same kind of ERA in a setup role. He's expected to work in front of Brian Wilson this year.
Reasonable terms for everyone here. Let's just hope Correia can be the starter he was last September and that both Hennessey and Chulk improve on their '07 numbers.
