    Giants @ San Diego

The first game will have Barry Zito on the hill pitching against Chris Young. Zito has finally gotten on a roll here in the second half and is getting the NL style down. Young hasn't been the same since hurting his back and doesn't look like he will ever get it back this year. This is a huge start for him. Since I have grown to hate most Padres fans worse than Dodger fans since joining this forum, I hope the Giants take two of three at the least. Bonds better be back in the lineup as he has made a career out of punishing the Padres which is why the fans hate the Giants. Since this will probably be his last series against them in orange and black, Bochy better put him in. Pretty sad when Dodger fans are more reasonable or at least they are on this forum.

Padres overtaking the Dodgers on the rivalry list?

I didn't think that was possible.

I'll keep up the hard work.

Although, I do feel obligated to point out that it's kinda hard to be more "reasonable" about the Padres than the Dodgers fans here are about the Dodgers in the eyes of a fan of a division rival when the only Dodgers fan here is realmofotalk, who isn't exactly the optimistic type.

Realmofo is more openminded and reasonable than any of you guys and we somehow agree on most things. Not many Dodger fans to go along with I know but he's all I have to go by.

I'm just saying that it's easy to call a fan of a division rival "reasonable and open minded" when he's pretty down on his own team for the most part.

    Because he's realistic!!

Giants blow the game against the Pads thanks to our lack of a closer. Hennessey once again blows the save. No spoiler here. Wilson should be our closer from here on out but I doubt that will happen. Zito was great and Young looks like he is back.

We basically gave those games away, Giants lost those games, Padres didn't win shit. There not going like this if/when they make it to the playoffs.

I agree about the first game but last night they hit our bullpen and had a lead when they did it. I also agree about them getting bounced in the first round but we will have to wait and see. Hell there's a good chance they don't even make the playoffs. WC race has gotten tighter.

Giants get swept and do no damage to the Padres. Our offense sunk it up but we were facing the NL Cy Young winner. I am now just waiting for Nov. to come around to see who/what we get.

    Re: Giants @ San Diego

The Giants confirmed that they don't plan to give Brad Hennessey additional save chances this season.
Brian Wilson becomes the heavy favorite for saves in the San Francisco pen, though Tyler Walker is supposed to be in the mix.
It's a little late for that but a good idea.
