He never throws his fastball thus never fooling hitters. He's just not setting them up. He did mess miss his delivery for a couple of days but Righetti talked him out of it. Throw the fastball ore often and get the hitters to look for something else other than the big swooping curve.

Zito doesn't have an overwhelming heater, so he's got to mix up his pitches because he'll never blow anyone away with that fastball. But he's relying too much on his breaking stuff, like you said. He's over anylizing the fact that he has to mix up his pitches, and it's obviously hurting him. Hopefully he and Righetti and Molina can work something out...
