    The record chase isn't really having an affect on this team. When your leadoff man is hitting .214, SS is hitting .220 something and third baseman is at .235, you just aren't going to win games. If guys actually got on base ahead of Bonds, he could be at 760 by now.

    What does guys getting on in front of Bonds have to do with him hitting Homeruns? I thought that would deal more with RBI than with HR.

    Yep, nobody on and Bonds gets another plus one to his IBB. And this will happen even more if the Giants top of the order can't make the opposing pitcher throw to Bonds as no one wants to give up 756.
