Roberts comes through in the clutch once again! Same scenario like last night.

Don't speak too fast. Kevin Kouzmanoff homered to give the Friars the lead. 3-2, top of the 10th.

    Wow

Padres win throwing out a base runner, and Dave Roberts no less.

I think she was referring to the "same scenario as last night" portion of the post and the implication (whether or not intended) that can be read from the statement.

    Just an honest guess, though.

The scenario part I meant was how Roberts got us the 2 out game tying single off of Linebrink, thats what I meant by that.

Ok what I meant was that he did speak too fast. I know that it was the same scenario as the night before, with Roberts in the middle of everything, but what I meant was that the Padres got the lead back and won. It was the same scenario, but with a different outcome, that's what I was trying to say. Y'all get it?

All I know is that Zito pitched great and we just didn't get it done for him. We had plenty of opportunities slip by. We out hit the Padres and simply let one slip by. Messenger made one mistake but has been very solid since coming over. Benitez who?

Tough loss tonite. That error by Frandsen really killed. Cain struck out seven batters and allowed only 2 earned runs, only to be tagged with his 6th straight loss. Life must really suck bad for Cain.

Up next, the Diamondbacks. They're a half game outta first place. They won tonite, 2-0 vs the Dodgers. Should be a good series.

Randy Johnson is going to be on the mound tomorrow for the D-Backs. He is making his first start since being out on the D.L. with a herniated disck in his back. We shall see how effective he will be.

He'll square off against Randy Wolf. Their numbers aren't too different (Wolf is 8-6, 4.32 ERA, Johnson is 4-2, 3.52 ERA). Hmmm...I'm giving the edge to the D-backs. Home field advantage, plus I have faith that Johnson will do well. Plus he's a Bay Area native.
