Re: Chasing History, Greatest Player of our time

Just out of curiousity, and I'm not being a smartass when I ask this. What's the Giants' record when Barry Bonds homers in a game? Can you find those numbers anywhere? I was curious as to what their record was when he hits a HR and when he does not.

Harang looked to have Bonds number there, 0-2 count (including Bonds swinging and missing) and then BOOM, 751. I am going through the game right now as I was out, but one of the Reds announcers was commenting about how good Harang looked against Bonds and wouldn't you know that 15 seconds later the ball is in the rightfield bleachers. Ha.

At least Harang went after him. 4 away from the tie.

Now dont get me wrong here, but Bonds was on steriods. You can see the difference in him over the last 10 years. If they find him guilty he wont be a Hall of Fame member or will be able to keep the record.

I like Bonds as a hitter, he has such a sweet swing. But all the years of steriod use is catching up to him. He has some of the worst mood swings I have ever seen. He looked good today though. rest did the trick. Two monster homeruns..

It was a great opposite field shot! Good thing he is going to rest today and get his legs back under him.

Bonds hits #756 off of Mike Bacsik in the fifth to straight away CF. 435ft later, history was made. Hank Aaron's congratulations was played on the scoreboard. Barry had some kind words for the fans and for the Nationals. It was fitting that Bonds' homerun gave the Giants the lead.

Bonds wasted no time in hitting #757. In the first inning against the Nats, Bonds launched his 35th Splash Hit. Tim Redding was pitching.
