    Giants @ Milwaukee

SF: RHP Matt Morris (10-14, 4.79 ERA)
Morris is in a bad spell. He's won only two games since July 14 and is 2-7 in his last nine decisions. The former Cardinal was rocked for five runs on seven hits over six innings in a return to St. Louis last Saturday in the Giants' 6-1 defeat.

MIL: RHP Dave Bush (11-11, 4.53 ERA)
Coming off a five-hit shutout over the Astros six days earlier and bidding to take the team lead in victories, Bush lasted only four innings at Washington last weekend and surrendered five runs, four of them earned, on seven hits and a walk. It continued his trend of road struggles; Bush is 3-7 with a 5.75 ERA on the road this season vs. 8-4 with a 3.43 ERA at Miller Park, where opponents are hitting just .217 against him.

    Player to watch
Omar Vizquel leads National League shortstops with a .304 average and .370 on-base mark and has hit .327 over his last 52 games.

    • Friday: Giants (LHP Jonathan Sanchez, 3-0, 3.38) at Brewers (LHP Doug Davis, 10-11, 4.87), 5:05 p.m. PT
    • Saturday: Giants (LHP Noah Lowry, 7-10, 4.70) at Brewers (LHP Chris Capuano, 11-11, 3.67), 4:05 p.m. PT
    • Sunday: Giants (RHP Matt Cain, 13-10, 3.99) at Brewers (RHP Ben Sheets, 5-7, 4.21), 11:05 a.m. PT
Basically our playoff hopes ride on this series. We have to win 3 of 4 or even better sweep but not likely.

Morris gives up nine runs in 4 innings to go 10-15 and 0-4 this month. Alou hit two bombs to give him 20 on the year. Himmenbrand also homered. Sadler and Misch had good outing as well. The playoffs aren't likely to happen now but no reason for the Ginats to give up. Let's hope some rookie magic can happen tonight with Sanchez pitching a big September game.

No rokkie magic whatsoever as Sanchez gives up 8 runs in 2 innings. Bonds had the best game of the year going 3-5 with 6 RBI and tied Hank Aaron for most NL homers. Pitching was terrible as Chulk blew a save Hennessey and Correia looked awful and Taschner was the only one that looked sharp. Bye bye playoffs.

Giants lose yet another one thanks to another lousy outing by Lowry. He gave up five runs in the first and only lasted 5 IP. Bonds broke the NL record for homers and Alou hit number 21 on the year. Alou has today hit his 2000th hit so congrats to him. The Giants are losing and will possibly be swept by the Brewers.
