    Reds @ San Fran

SF: RHP Brad Hennessey (5-3, 3.38 ERA)
Hennessey was no match for the Dodgers in his last start on Aug. 19 at AT&T Park. The former reliever allowed seven hits and six runs in one-plus innings.

CIN: LHP Eric Milton (8-7, 5.28)
Milton didn't take advantage of a 6-0 lead, as he gave up six earned runs over four-plus innings on Saturday against the Pirates. The lefty did not figure in the decision, but the Reds won, 14-7, over Pittsburgh.

    Player to watch
Ray Durham is batting a blistering .372 (32-for-86) with six home runs against left-handed pitchers this season. During the last three games, he has hit one home run and has seven RBIs.

    • Friday: Reds (RHP Aaron Harang, 13-8, 3.72) at Giants (RHP Matt Morris, 8-11, 4.67), 7:15 p.m. PT
    • Saturday: Reds (RHP Bronson Arroyo, 10-8, 3.44) at Giants (LHP Noah Lowry, 6-7, 3.92), 1:05 p.m. PT
    • Sunday: Reds (RHP Kyle Lohse, 3-5, 5.44) at Giants (RHP Matt Cain, 9-9, 4.53), 1:05 p.m. PT
Huge series as the Giants can help knock the Reds out of the WC lead and help themselves get in the WC lead. Philly lost today so that helps too. Four games to do some real damage!! Let's hope Hennessey does a much better job than his last outing.

Yea this is also one of the biggest series for my Reds as well as your Giants. But good luck to the Giants tonight and the rest of the series.

Nice game and great fight tonight for sure. This first game promises a great series ahead. I am on cloud nine as the Reds are now in 1st place with tonight's victory. But I still wanted to tell you guys that the game was very exciting and that the Giants still have a shot. Great fight tonight!

This games basically defined how good the reds bullpen is, and how shitty our bullpen is.

Our bullpen needs to do a better job in order for us to have a chance to win the division or even the wc.

Well, you took over tonight. Great game by Morris no doubt. Heres to another big one tomorrow! At least for the Reds side. LOL.

Great pitching by Lowry and Morris! Lowry has been very sharp lately and Hillenbrand's bat has gotten hot this series. It was also good to see Stanton get the job done at closer. Let's hope Cain can keep the great starting pitching going.

Giants are getting it done with tw outs. Durham had a RBI single with two outs in the first and Vizquel hit a two run single with two outs in the second. 3-0 after 2.

Giants win 8-0 and take 3 of 4 from the WC leading Reds. 2 weeks ago it looked like we were going in the toilet but we came back and swept the Pads, Dbacks and won three games against Cincy. Cain had a great game striking out 9 through 7 innings. More importantly he only had two walks. Bonds went 3-3 with a RBI and Jamey Wright pitched a perfect inning. Giants need to keep wright sharp and it amazes me when Alou does something right. Now its timefor the Braves.

Lowry for some reason peaks this time of year and Cain seems to be doing the same. Lowry gets to face the Cubs next start Lowry also got co-player of the week last week going 2-0 with only one run given up. Miguel Cabrera shared the award.
